A Toast in Your Honor

About the Project

A Toast In Your Honor was a narrative design document for a theoretical branching narrative game about running a tavern in a fantasy world that I made for a game writing class at UT.

Production

In making this project, I developed a prototype, a flowchart, an opening cutscene, and character bios. The work I did on each is illustrated below.

This is a screenshot from the prototype I made in Twine. The prototype is meant to demonstrate the sort of choices the player would be required to make. It can be played here.

This screenshot shows the flowchart I made dictating the events of the game.

This is from the opening cutscene. I wrote it in WriterDuet, which I learned how to use for this class.

This is a snippet of one of the character bios I wrote. I wanted to play with the tropes of rpgs to make more dynamic characters.
